OER SUMMIT

The college hosted an OER Summit on Tuesday, Jan. 31 to promote collaboration of educational resources among 28 California higher education institutions. OERs, or Open Educational Resources, are teaching and learning materials released in the public domain or under an intellectual property license as a no-cost alternative to commercial textbooks. The summit at the Dr. Dianne G. Van Hook University Center drew administrators, faculty, staff and students from throughout California.

NEW PROJECTORS

The AV and IT departments have received funding to upgrade a number of projectors on both campuses. Throughout the spring and summer, we will deploy a mix of upgraded mid-room projectors and some new interactive short-throw projectors. We’ll do our best to minimize the impact on instruction, but keep an eye out for staff bearing gifts!
